Travel destinations vary, but one thing I always choose carefully is the hotel.
Of course, if you are willing to spend more, you can stay in a luxurious suite and enjoy an amazing experience.
However, I am an ordinary traveler, so rather than focusing only on luxury, I evaluate hotels comprehensively based on their location, facilities, staff service, food, and overall value for money.
In this blog, I would like to introduce hotels that made me think, “I definitely want to stay here again.”
Klook.comRecommended Hotel in Shiga Prefecture|Aonokotei BIWAFRONT HIKONE
“Biwafront Hikone” is the hotel where I felt the best value for money among all the places I have stayed.
Here are some of the points that I found especially appealing.
New facilities and cleanliness:
The hotel is still relatively new, and both the rooms and facilities are extremely clean and comfortable.

Pet-friendly accommodation:
For those traveling with pets, villa-style rooms are available, making it easy choice even when staying with pets.
Spectacular views of Lake Biwa:
Right in front of the hotel stretches Lake Biwa and a lush green lawn. It feels almost like being at an oceanfront resort, allowing you to truly relax.

Scenic and clean baths:
You can also enjoy views of Lake Biwa from the hotel’s open-air bath, which makes for a very relaxing experience.
Kuromame tea after the bath:
The kuromame (black soybean) tea served after the bath was absolutely delicious!
View from the pool:
The pool is not very large, but it is in a wonderful location where you can enjoy panoramic views of Lake Biwa and Hikone Castle.

Delicious local food from Shiga Prefecture:
The meals were made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients from Shiga Prefecture, and everything was delicious and very satisfying.

Warm and thoughtful staff service:
We stayed at the hotel to celebrate my daughter’s birthday, and when I asked for fruit instead of a cake, the staff kindly accommodated our request.
After swimming, my child got cold during dinner, and the staff showed wonderful attentiveness. The next morning, a different staff member also checked in with us thoughtfully.
It truly made me want to stay here again.
